Glencree Women's Programme, 2007 Course

What is The Women’s Programme?
The Glencree Women’s Programme seeks to redress the imbalance of opportunities for women.  The programme enables women to play a positive role in the life of their communities.  A series of residential workshops provide important relationship building skills and training supports for women.  More information on the programme.

Women’s Programme Course
Foundation Year: 6 Modules

  1. Our Different Histories and Identities
  2. Self Esteem and Self Image
  3. Assertiveness at Personal, Professional and Community Level
  4. Alternative dispute resolution
  5. Managing Conflict and Non-Violent Communication
  6. Difference and Diversity, Valuing Difference and Managing Diversity

This course will also include training on Equality, Gender issues, Facilitation skills and Self-Development.

Advanced Training for participants who have completed the first six modules will be running simultaneously with the Foundation Course.

Dates and Times for the Course
Registration is from 8.30 p.m. onwards on the Friday of the weekend. The course runs all day Saturday and until lunch-time on Sunday.
Module 1: January 19 to 21 2007
Module 2: March 30 to April 1 2007
Module 3: April 27 to 29 2007
Module 4: June 15 to 17 2007
Module 5: September 14 to 16 2007
Module 6: November 9 to 11 2007

Cost of the Course
The course (including accommodation and full board) costs:
€150 for each weekend module for women who can access a training budget
or
€100 per weekend for individual women.
Some bursaries are available.
