Dates: 8, 9, 10 February & 11-12 March, 2010
About the course:
Conflict is an ever present reality in our lives and can provide a creative possibility if we know how to work with it. However, failure to manage conflict in our personal and working lives can make things worse and may lead to serious difficulties.
This course is an introduction to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and will provide a practical approach to help people work creatively with conflict situations to develop some confidence and strategies to manage conflict more productively. By drawing on personal experience of conflict and applying some theory to practical skills the participants will have a chance to develop their ability to manage conflict. Conflicts can be transformed into a creative possibility if we have the creative skills to do so. Violence can be prevented provided we have options to work through alternative possibilities
