The Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation is located 12 miles from Dublin City centre and 7 miles from Enniskerry Village in Co.Wicklow. It stands at the head of the spectacular and unspoiled Glencree Valley. This beautiful location is an ideal setting for groups or individuals looking for space, privacy, tranquillity and a welcoming environment in which to work. The area also offers a selection of great hill walking opportunities; the Wicklow Way, Nature reserve, Golf, Dry slope skiing, Powerscourt Gardens and many other places of interest.

Who may use Conference/Exhibition Centre facilities?

In addition to its programme work with youth, school, victims/survivors, former combatants, political, religious and community groups, Glencree offers conference and meeting facilities to organisations and groups in the private, corporate, public and community sectors.

Peace resource centre

Sponsored by Ulster Bank, this library and Internet facility is open to all of our visitors and programme participants. This resource is becoming a Centre of Excellence for Peace studies and dispute resolution resource material and study aids.

 

Residential Accommodation

Glencree provides shared accommodation for up to 64 persons located in two separate sectors on site. The first sector in the historic main Bridge Building houses 6 dorm rooms, 2 twin rooms, and 3 double rooms. The second sector, located in the recently restored Centre Building, holds 8 newly renovated modern rooms—7 double and 1 single—complete with tea and coffee stations in room. All rooms in both sectors are in suite. Both sectors have 1 room with wheel chair access shower facilities. All rooms are regularly cleaned and maintained by dedicated cleaning staff.

 

Armoury cafe

The Armoury is open 7 days a week and can cater for up to 100 people for both daytime and evening functions, with pricing and menus to suit the customer being our specialty.


Exhibition and Historical Walk

Glencree provides an Exhibition Area complete with photos, art, and information which provides guests with an in depth look into the rich history of the site as well as the origins and current operation of the Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation.

All income from these facilities, which are administered by The Glencree Visitor Centre, is used for the development and maintenace of the Centre and its programmes.
