German Room Opening

The German room at Glencree was officially opened on the 28th of September 2006 by Ambassador Christian Pauls.  Pictured below at the Ribbon Cutting ceremony are (from left to right) Mairin Colleary, Mrs Gabriele Pauls, Mrs. Tineke Klaasen, and Ambassador Christian Pauls.

All of the Glencree's bedrooms are furnished and decorated by the Diplomatic Community in Dublin.

A team from the German Embassy was in charge of decorating the room.  The decorators, picture below are: Linda Gensch, Eamon Bartley, Tina Talukder.  A warm thank you goes to this team who did the hard work of putting all the pieces together!

Several companies sponsored the German Room. Glencree extends a warm thank you to all those who contributed to making the room so beautiful and inviting:

  • Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dublin
  • Helaba Landesbank Hessen-Thuringen
  • Commerzbank Europe (Ireland)
  • Aareal Bank
  • DZ Bank Ireland
  • WGZ Bank Ireland plc
  • Flototto
