1-2 April 2008 - The Anglo-Irish Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs held its annual Reconciliation Networking Conference in Dublin Castle.  The Conference brought together practitioners working in Ireland, north and south, on reconciliation and peacebuilding.

28-30 March 2008 - The first module of the 2008 Women's Programme Training was held with women from East and North Belfast.  This group will participate in 6 training modules throughout the year.

19 March 2008 - American students from the Institute for the International Education of Students (IES) came to Glencree to learn about the post-conflict phase of the Irish Peace Process, run by Geoffrey Corry.

18 March to 1 April - a group of 20 people from Haiti came to Glencree for 2 weeks to participate in Conflict Resolution Training. They learned practical skills that they will be able to apply in their home communities.  During their stay in Ireland, they went on a study tour to Belfast and stayed at Glebe House in County Down.

18 March 2008 - the Irish School of Ecumenics' Masters Degree in Peace Studies held a one-day workshop at Glencree to learn about the practice of peacebuilding and Glencree's experience.

14 March 2008 - A team of Global Volunteers came from America to Glencree for two weeks to refurbish the volunteer's kitchen. The Global Volunteers have been coming to Glencree for eight years, and this was the last Global team for the time being. We greatly appreciate all of the wonderful and hard work that the groups have done; they brought so much to our community. Thank you Globals!

3 March 2008 - Several individuals benefited from the course, Understanding Interculturalism, a FETAC Level 4 course, which was delivered by Eamon Rafter at the Glencree Centre from January to March 2008. 21 February 2008 - Twelve women from rural and urban interface areas received their certificates of completion from the Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation for the completion of the Women's Programme training course. The women took the course in Corner House, a community facility. The training will benefit the entire community in which they live.

1st January 2008 - Dr. David Bloomfield takes up his appointment as Chief Executive of the Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation.
