30 August 2008 – Twenty participants of the Sustainable Peace Network and friends organised and took part in a cross-border Walk for Peace along the Monaghan Way. 

5-9 August 2008 –An Alternative Dispute Resolution Course (ADR) was delivered at Glencree to a group of 10 individuals.

4-5 August 2008 – Vodafone Ireland held a two-day training and development day at Glencree.  Businesses are welcome to use the space at Glencree as an alternative setting for training, reflection days, team building or meetings. 

29 July – 1 August 2008 – A Youth Conference for Peace was held at Glencree.

27 July 2008 - It's that time of year again. Glencree is holding its Annual General Meeting.

18-19 July 2008 - The Glencree team organised and took part in an Internal Review Day, 'Lessons Learned From an Era of Work, 1994-2008'. This was an opportunity to look back over 14 years of peace and reconciliation work, to reflect on and harvest what we have learned. We found that there were interesting parallels between the eight different Glencree programmes. The next phase of our work will be characterised by co-operation and partnerships, finding connections and strengthening networks.

17 July 2008 - We welcomed the Austrian community to Glencree for the opening of the new Austrian Room, an en suite bedroom in the newly refurbished wing of the Centre Building. The Irish Austrian Society and the Austrian Embassy in Dublin are friends and supporters of Glencree. 14 July 2008 - Glencree hosted a seminar "Kashmir and Ireland: Lessons from and for Peace Processes." The speakers were HE Raja Zulqarnain Khan, President of Jammu and Kashmir; Mr John Cushnahan, former MEP; Dr John Doyle, Professor of International Relations, Dublin City University; and Dr. David Bloomfield, CEO of the Glencree Centre; and the event was chaird by Peter Keenan, CEO of Parc Group and Chair of Glencree's International Advisory Committee.

7 July 2008 - The Glencree Programme Team is undertaking a strategic review of their work. Pictured at right, staff participate in creating a matrix of themes and sectors

28 June 2008 - The Corrymeela Community held its summer festival at Ballycastle, Co Antrim. Over 600 people came from near and far to make this day a great success. For more information see www.corrymeela.org

25-26 June 2008 - Korey Dyck delivered a introductory course on Creative Approaches to Addressing Conflict at the Glencree Centre.

20 June 2008 - The Glencree Centre presented its work to the Board Members of the International Fund for Ireland at the Ballybay Wetlands Centre in County Monaghan. Young people and teachers from the area who took part in Glencree's Peace Education Programme demonstrated their learning and the value of their experiences.

12-13 June 2008 - The Donegal Peace Centre at An Teach Ban held its 6th Annual Conference in Downings, Co Donegal. The theme was "Peace Building in Ireland, Sharing the Learning, an Ongoing Conversation" and speakers came from the Middle East, the Balkans as well as locally to make the event interesting and enjoyable. 22-24 May 2008 - The Art of Hosting Training was held at Glencree. Over 30 practitioners participated and learned new techniques in hosting authentic conversations such as World Cafe, Open Space Technology and Appreciative Inquiry.

9-11 May 2008 and 13-15 June 2008 - A cross-community group of twenty-two women from Belfast took part in leadership training at Glencree.
