Education Development and Training

Glencree has been working in the field of peacebuilding and reconciliation for about thirty years. During that time we have learned much about non violent responses to conflict. We do not suggest that the understandings we have developed are appropriate to all situations of conflict. However, we are keen to share what we have learned so that civil society can access some of these skills and use them as they find appropriate.  With support from the International Fund for Ireland, we have been able to develop a range of activities to share the learning of the Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation with a wider audience

The courses we offer are available for groups or organisations on request and can be delivered either at Glencree or elsewhere. A certificate of participation will be issued at the end of each course.

For more information and price details please contact Eamon Rafter, Education Development & Training Officer, Telephone +353 1 2829711, Email edto@glencree.ie.

Since 29 September 2006 the Glencree Centre has certification recognising that our Quality Assurance has been passed by the Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC). Fifty seven other education providers in Ireland, from widely different backgrounds, also received recognition. This means we are now an approved centre and can offer modules and programmes leading to FETAC awards.
