Glencree was founded on the belief that peace can be achieved through the power of dialogue. Through our podcasts, we will focus on the complex subjects of conflict resolution and peacebuilding. We will examine the different types of conflict and how to build a more inclusive society where people of all ages, cultures, faiths and ethnic backgrounds can flourish. We will talk to people whose lives have been impacted by conflict and hear from others who work towards bringing sustainable peace.

Podcast 2: Belonging & Identity in the Second Generation

Our second podcast talks about diversity, integration and what it is like to be a young Muslim in Ireland during Ramadan and Eid in this time of Covid19. Joining Glencree’s Intercultural & Refugee Programme Manager, Nadette Foley, are Fardus Sultan from the Belonging & Identity Project Advisory Group and Mohammed Elsayed from the Under One Tent Initiative.

Our Podcast was recorded remotely due to social distancing requirements of Covid19 so sound quality can vary.

If you want to support us and champion peace, please share our Podcast on your own social media channels through the Soundcloud link above.
