Bill joined the Board of Glencree Visitors Centre in 2021. During more than 40 years as an architect with Scott + MacNeill he completed a broad range of new buildings and renovations in the state, commercial and residential sectors. In 2002, the directors of Scott + MacNeill adopted a strategic shift from general practice to specialise in 3 fields: Health & Safety in construction, Universal Design for all abilities and Sustainability. In parallel, Bill developed a particular interest in project management and quality assurance. After completing a MSc Arch at the University of East London in 2004, Bill developed the Environmental and Sustainability consultancy in the practice. His work has included training architects and other specialists in the area of sustainability and low energy design and construction. He has worked for 15 years with the Sustainability Task Force of the RIAI (the architects’ registration body). For many years he has acted as support architect to the residents at the Dolphin House, Dublin during the regeneration of their major urban residential estate.
